He has acquired and operated companies in the medical devices, virtual learning systems, engineered products and custom home building industries. He also serves as an advisor to major corporations on business strategy, operating performance improvement and leadership development.

His focus is on the protection and care of orphans and abandoned children living in extreme poverty. Charlie founded Critical Path Foundation following the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti in January 2010. Critical Path provides clean water, food, shelter and medical care for severely impoverished children in the Caribbean region.

The mission of Critical Path is guided by Charlie's belief that every child deserves love, protection and a chance at life—that Every Life Saved is a Victory.
